Our mission
Clear information about how soldiers actually fight
Army Fighting Secrets was created to give readers clear information about the self-defense methods soldiers of every rank use to protect themselves and engage an opponent. The site grew out of a belief that army self-defense methods are more specific — and simply better — than most of the alternatives available to civilians.
Our purpose is educational. We are not a recruitment service, a tactical equipment shop or a certification body. We publish explanations, history and training guidance so that a reader can make a better decision about how to train.
The archive covers five areas: military combat training, martial arts technique, self-defense basics, army physical training and the history of military close combat.

How we work
Verifiable instruction
Every technique is described as it is actually taught, including the conditions where it stops working.
Editorial discipline
Articles are written from training experience and primary military sources, not from second-hand summaries.
Civilian translation
Military methods are adapted for readers with no unit, no equipment and no orders to follow.
